Clay Douglas gave Dell's Cafe a shout-out on his radio show, so I decided to give this place a try. I recommend the catfish Friday's special (ask for Clay's favorite dish).
The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is cordial. The only recommendation I have for the cafe is that it should promote its celebrity radio host Clay Douglas more. Clay is putting Big Springs TX on the map, and Dell's Cafe would attract a lot more tourists by increasing its photos of Clay Douglas.
The food was great! It was my 1st time here and the service was awful. Our waitress never checked up on us, and our table needed refills. Needless to say even though the food had a great taste, most likely will not return because of the awful service.
This place it the best place to eat in Texas! The rolls are the best I've ever ate. The waitress was so pleasant. It was clean and everyone there were so friendly. Great food and awesome server. Don't pass it up. Don't let the building fool you. Everything made from scratch. I just wish they had parking for semis.
Can't wait to try this place during the meet and greet with Clay and Steve from the Morning Brew on the 11th.
One of the best chicken fried steaks I've had. Breakfasts are awesome too! Just lots of good home cooked meals that will leave you satisfied. Only complaint is that they're not open on the weekends!
