We have visited 3 times and I'm glad I waited to review this place. The first time was great, they had a deal on tap beers (which could be colder but the price was right) and the guy working the bar was Great! He was able to tell us a lot about Big Spring and we had a pleasant experience. The second time we went was a busy Friday, staff was nice overall but someone was shooting a gun in the parking lot and the police were called. In addition there were several loud alterations that the bouncer did address but it didn't feel safe there at all. Thinking maybe it was just a one time thing we went back. This time it was not as busy and clientele was better BUT they decided to turn off the football game that 10-15 people were watching and there was a problem with the pool table. The staff is aware of the problem of the 8 ball not dropping because they told us the "trick" to make it work, which works sometimes. One of the people we were playing against lifted the table to get it to work, obviously that was not the right thing to do. An employee who's name I didn't get but he wears his hair in a bun came over and yelled at us as if we had done it. When the table stuck again I told him about it and even acknowledged that he was busy and to take his time and his response was "that's because someone dropped my f***ing pool table" before storming off to fix it. We have had the issue with that table every tome we've gone so no, that's not what the issue was but even so, the attitude from this person was unacceptable and we will not be returning- unless he leaves. In speaking with others it sounds like he's known for having this type of attitude problem and although I understand working in a bar can be stressful at times, his response to me was enough for me to not go back.
Asked for a LIT...easy on the sweet and sour... got the most sour Long Island I've ever had... then the bartender asks me if I want her to add more sweetness to it to even it out. Haha. Nope. Learn how to make a drink. I'm out.
Great service. Solid drinks. Bathrooms are tore up, but clean and safe and crime free. A few hard guys come here but they seem checked by the staff and regulars. Safe place to go and take a woman. They won't over serve and will call you a ride if need be. Solid romantic dive bar.
Well I guess it was good. Be in a none smoker I wish it was too. I like live music most of all. They did a great job singing.
Very good service but absolutely HATE the music... Just moved into the state and it's not what I'm used to. Great bar other than that.
